FAR ISLANDS - Koh Rin, Kohn Man Wichai, Koh Pai, Kram Wreck
These islands are around 15kms from Pattaya and generally offer better,
more varied diving than that of the Near Islands. With a wider
variety of marine life including Sharks, Cuttle Fish, Bat Fish, Barracuda
|
|
and many varieties of hard and soft
corals. Visibility is usually around 5-15
metres (can be better). The Kram
wreck was sunk at the end of January
2003 and sits upright on sand at
|
 |
| approx 26 metres. |

NEAR ISLANDS - Koh Larn, Koh Sak,
Koh Krok, Kud Wreck |
| |
Koh Larn is the largest of the islands and offers a varied amount of
marine life. Common in this area are the large turtles which can be
seen on many of the dives. The Kud wreck is the most recent vessel
|
| |
sunk by the Royal Thai Navy and sits
on sand at around 25 metres. Visibility
tends to be slightly less than the far
islands and ranges between 4-10 |
 |
| metres. |

OTHER DIVING LOCATION - Koh
Kram, Samae San
To the south of Pattaya you will find
Koh Kram a small island which is very |
| |
good for finding unspoilt, undamaged hard and soft corals as well as
the broken up wreck of the Bremen.
Approx 45 minutes drive south of Pattaya is the small fishing village of
Samae San, here there are several small islands perfect for diving and
viewing many marine creatures not seen in Pattaya. Samae San is also
|
|
|
|
|
the home of the Hardeep wreck. Sitting on around 26 metres the
wreck has been
well-dived
over the years but still offers a challenging
dive due to the strong currents
iin
the area.
